Comments:

My husband, Jack, was in the military and retired in 1990. We traveled and spent almost 20 years overseas, living in Panama, Turkey, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Korea and Alaska. After retiring to Jack's home area on the Eastern Shore of VA, Jack went on to teach at Old Dominion Univ, was the Director of Economic Development, then became the manager of the VA Employement Commission and retired in 2010. I have worked for many great organizations throughout our travels: Turkey - accounting at the Officers' Club then managed the Rod & Gun Club (lots of freebees for Jack's hunting); Lockheed Mis & Space (have a remote piloted droid at the Smithsonian -:); assistant to the District Super of Elem schools in Anchorage (with retirement benefits at age 62), then retired from ANEC Elec Cooperative on VA's Eastern Shore; raised our two children, and then the retirement after 20 years with ANEC Electric Cooperative. As the Exec. Assistant and Benefits Administrator for the cooperative, I traveled throughout most of the USA. Jack and I have either visited, or lived in all of the 50 US states... each one has special memories. Now that we are both retired, we are enjoying our new home here in The Villages, in Florida and continue to garden, do woodworking, reading and traveling and visiting family and friends across the USA and Europe.

School Story:

Hanging out with my best friends, Kathy and Tina, and Norma! And, our fun times at Benjamin Hill Ski area! I liked most of the classes and teachers, except for biology, when I refused to cut up that poor little frog and was sent to the principal's office. Mrs. Griffith was not smiling when I told her I just couldn't do it! Also, we had some great school dances.... lots of fun and great music! We had a great class of '66!
